What We Wore

Hello my beautiful friends, hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday.

It time for another What We Wore post.

I am now 14 weeks pregnant and am having fun  creating outfits to show off my little bump with my regular clothes, since most maternity clothes are too big right now.

Pregnancy Week 14

I am not going to lie, this pregnancy is hard. I am not one of those pregnant woman with a glow right now. I am constantly waking around with a scrunched up nose, because everything makes me sick.

It takes alot of effort to get some makeup on and do my hair. So if I need to do something, I plan on doing it all on one day so I only get to get ready to go out once.

It reminds me of the movie What to Expect When You're Expecting. (You can watch the trailer here)
I am still hoping that this "morning" "afternoon" and "evening" sickness goes away soon.

I really hate feeling this way. I don't want to be this negative person. I want to enjoy this pregnancy. All I can do is pray that God gives me strength, energy and health. I Pray that God blesses my little baby.

Today I am actually feeling alright, I didn't throw up when brushing my teeth and was able to eat a healthy breakfast and keep it down. There is hope.

How far along:
14 weeks, 4 days

Baby growth:

My baby is about 3.4 inches long and 1.5 ounces

This week my baby's well defined face  can make expressions like a squint and a frown. Some babies, may even start growing hair on the head on the face, such as eyebrows.

If the baby is a girl, her eggs have already developed inside her ovaries. If the baby is a boy, his prostate gland is developing.

Symptoms:

I don't remember feeling like this with my last two pregnancies. In fact, my morning sickness was gone by 12 weeks. I am now 14 weeks pregnant, and my morning sickness is going strong, if not worse.

I am always tired and have shortness of breath. I just want to curl up in bed and go to sleep.

Waking up with a back ache (under my right shoulder) and headache.

Pain between ribs, not sure if it is related to the fact that I have been throwing up a lot.

Total weight gain/loss:
2 lb

Maternity clothes?
I brought in my maternity clothes, but for some reason I find most of them hideous. LOL.
I washed a few maternity t-shirts and a denim skirt, The rest got shoved back in the box.

I ordered a few maternity items from ASOS, but will have to return almost everything. Jeans are to small, skirt and shirts are too big.

I the only thing I am keeping are these pants. They are super comfortable.

Stretch marks?
No.

Sleep:
I can't seem to get comfortable.
I have a few nights when I just toss and turn until 2am and can not fall asleep.

Movement:

I felt movement this week! It was at night when I was in bed, I felt little flips.

Food cravings or aversions:
My current food craving is sliced tomatoes with salt.
I can have them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I buy organic tomatoes and they smell so good.I can not wait until the tomatoes are ready to pick in my garden!

Have you started to show yet:
Yep

Gender:

 Unknown yet.

Baby Buys:
There probably won't be any baby buys until I find out who we are having.

Shared Kids Room Take #3

Well, I have been at it again. Changing and moving things, redecorating and reorganizing.

This time I have decided to attack the kids room, again.  Hoping that the 3rd time will be a charm.

First the kids shared room looked like this:

Then the kids room looked like this:

However, having all the toys in the room meant that the room was always messy.

Plus, when my son took his afternoon nap, my daughter would bring out all the toys she wanted to play with into my room or the guest room, there were toys everywhere.

It also seems that the toys were taking over the closet and there was not much room for clothes and shoes.

I really wished that I could have a play room and a separate bedroom.

So I decided to make a Guest room/play room. (Another post on that later)
I moved all the toys out and had hubby take the bunk beds apart.

Now I have a "sleeping" bedroom, as my kids call it. And a play room.
It sure keeps the mess contained. The kids don't play in this room, Just read and sleep.

Plus it is a relief not to have to climb a bunk bed to change sheets every week.

Here is the kids room now:

Striped duvet covers and sham: Pottery Barn Kids
Green polka dot sheets: Pottery Barn Teen
Boys quilt/decorative pillow: Pottery Barn Kids
Girls quilt/decorative pillow: Target
Decorative Letters: Pottery Barn Kids
Book Shelf: IKEA
Baskets: Home Goods

The best part, is that both of the kids have their own dresser, which means that the clothes are more organized.

I am not sure how long this room is going to stay this way, we have another baby on the way, so things may change in a few months, but for now, I am happy with the results.

Thanks for visiting, I hope you all have a great day.

Attempting a green thumb....

So, I am really bad at gardening.

In fact, my idea of gardening is planting new flowers in a few pots on the porch, and when they die, I would just plant new ones.
However, this year, I am so proud of my yard, and that is just my front yard. I have a vegetable garden in the back which is doing great! (my first year attempting that too)

My hydrangeas didn't even bloom last year, and this year they are exploding with flowers:

I also planted some bulbs this spring and all this prettiness popped out:

Hubby put up some cedar on our porch (Which I still have to stain or seal)
Loving this cozy little porch of mine.

How is your green thumb?

Thank you so much for visiting.

Pregnancy Week 13

I am 13 weeks already and it feels that my baby bump just popped out this week.

How far along:
13 weeks 3 days

Baby growth:

My baby is about 2.9 inches long and .81 ounces

Baby already has fingerprints and is getting bigger and cuter. Baby's ears have moved up from his/her neck into place and his/her eyes-- which are looking more and more like your baby blues (or browns, or greens) -- have moved from the sides of the head to the front of the face.

Symptoms:
I am still feeling nauseas, especially in the evenings.
I get really tired around the noon and feel that I need a nap. Even a 30 minute nap make me feel much better.
It seems that my baby bump popped out this week. It is much bigger then last week
I also get out of breath a lot after simple tasks like walking upstairs or making my bed.

Total weight gain/loss:
1 lb

Maternity clothes?
I have yet to bring in my maternity clothes from the garage.
I have been wearing my maxi dresses and skirts lately.

Stretch marks?
No.

Sleep:
I started waking up a lot during the nights. Either the kids wake me up, or I have to go pee. I also can't seem to get comfortable since I am usually a stomach sleeper.

What I miss:
I miss not feeling sick and so tired all the time.

Movement:

None so far.

Food cravings or aversions:

Still can't stand certain smells like grilled meats, and cooked vegetables. I also can't stand lettuce.
Oh, and I put hot sauce on almost everything I eat, it seems to get my food to go down easier.

Have you started to show yet:
Yep, there is definitely a small bump.

Gender:

Unknown yet. Boy or girl, healthy is all we want!

Baby Buys:
none this week.

Birchbox July 2013

I am always eagerly awaiting my monthly birchbox. It's like a little present for me every month.

Let me tell you what birch box is, just in case you are not familiar with it.
It's a monthly subscription service which is $10.00 a month where you get sent 5-6 high-end samples each month. First you take a little survey so they can find out more about your skin, make up likes and dislikes so they know what to send you.

You know how I love trying out new products? Well, with the birch box, I can try high end products without having to buy full size products. If I love the product, then I can go buy it :)

If you are interested in checking it out, go to Birch Box

Lets take look into this months box:

What Birchbox Says: Beyond its intense moisturizing powers, the creamy formula also regulates skin’s oil levels with a botanical brigade. Blueberry and white dead-nettle purify skin, while jasmine, burdock, and mandarin reduce breakouts and redness.
What I say: I haven't used this moisturizer yet, but it sounds natural and good for my skin. Excited to try it out.

What Birchbox Says: The water-resistant formula uses tiny fibers to beef up your fringe without any irritation. Nourishing beeswax and carnauba wax keep lashes plush.
What I say: I love this mascara. It is amazing, one coat does wonders. Something I will definitely repurchase once I run out.

What Birchbox Says: Zinc gluconate preserves color by strengthening ionic bonds between coloring agents, while linseed oil polishes hair fibers to maximize light reflection. A patented UV protectant filters sun damage and blocks environmental stressors that cause premature fading.
What I say: I have not used this yet, but it sounds good. Especially since I ran out of my deep conditioner.

What Birchbox Says: Snag-free enamel and a slight upward bend at the tip helps these bobby pins slide easily over strands.
What I say: These bobby pins are so cute!

What Birchbox Says: The silky powder leaves behind a lasting stain that blends in seamlessly with your skin. There are six lovely shades: Lace, a rosy bright pink; Argyle, a soft baby pink; Pinstripe, a warm plum; Houndstooth, a mauve with subtle bronze shimmer; Toile, a warm coral with red undertones; and Swiss Dot fresh tangerine.
What I say: This is a gorgeous color, love the peachy color. Something I have been using almost daily since I received it in the mail.

Thanks for visiting.

We are Pregnant!! (12 weeks)

Guess what my friends?!

We are pregnant!

It has been so hard to keep it from all of you for all these weeks. But I wanted to be safe since I kept having cramps, but I guess it is all normal.

We are just so excited for another baby! Words can not express it.
We have a 5 year old girl and a 2 year old boy.

How far along:
12 weeks

Baby growth:

My baby is about 2.1 inches long and .49 ounces

Most of the critical systems are fully formed

Baby is now developing his/her reflexes, if you poke him/her, he/she may likely move.

Baby is now opening and closing her fingers and curling her toes

Baby's brain is developing fast

Symptoms:
I am constantly tired and out of breath. I can not stand for a long time without feeling faint. I have to sit down to do my hair and makeup.

I usually throw up in the evenings after dinner.

Total weight gain/loss:
Non yet, still 145

Maternity clothes?
I bought a black maxi dress (for my weekly photos)

But other then that, I am still in my regular clothes.
But jeans are not comfortable anymore, so I am in skirts and dresses for the most part, which is fine with me since it is summer.

Stretch marks?
No, I bought myself this oil, but have not started using it yet.
I haven't gotten any stretch marks with my first two pregnancy since I always used some sort of lotion.

Sleep:
I sleep fine, I just can't seem to get enough of sleep. I actually look forward to getting the kids to bed just so I can go to sleep.

What I miss:

Not feeling so sick to my stomach and so tired all the time.

Movement:

None so far.

Food cravings or aversions:

I only want to eat fresh fruits like grapes and berries.
All sight and smell of meat makes me sick to my stomach.
But since I have to make the kids breakfast and lunch, I usually make something for myself while I am at it. Something like an english muffin, toast or croissant.

Have you started to show yet:
Yep, there is definitely a small bump.

Gender:

Unknown, will not know until 20 weeks! Boy or girl, healthy is all we want!

Questions or concerns this weeks:
Still nervous since I'm early-on in the pregnancy. I know I need to take it easy and rest when my body tells me I need rest. The housework will have to wait.

Baby Buys:
I bought this diaper bag, I figured that it would be great for either boy or girl, it is huge, which will be great to fit the baby's cloth diapers.

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you come along this amazing journey with me.
