Good Morning my beautiful friends!
Yesterday was Thursday and I was running some errands, and I thought, you know I haven't done an OOTD nor have I done any kind of makeup post in a while. Why not combine the two?
So in this post I show you the products I use on a daily basis. Thats when I need to get out of the house.
Otherwise, I will probably be in sweats all day and only change before my hubby gets home ;)
I had some errands to run yesterday. My favorite kind of errands: shopping! I had to go to IKEA (Yipee!!), Target (double Yippe!!) and Costco.
So I pried my eyes open early yesterday morning to do this (I went to bed very very late the night before, or I guess 2am is considered morning)
I was debating weather or not I should show you how I look in the morning, since it is pretty scary. But I will pretend to be strong and courageous and show it to you since I am pretty sure nobody rolls out of bed looking perfect.
Thats what makeup is for , and I am obsessed with makeup as some of you may know, I can browse the makeup at drugstores and Sephora for hours, unfortunately that is not possible.
Good Morning to you! I am trying to look positive in this picture even though I can barely keep my eyes open. (I even managed a little smile, since I knew if I didn't I would look even more scarier)
Yes, I purposely left this as a small photo because I don't want you seeing all of my hyperpigmentation and big under eye bags.
First thing I needed was a little wake me up, so into the shower I went. I put on my (very ugly) shower cap and hopped in.
I did not wash my hair (even though it is 3rd day hair already, but I am planning on doing a deep conditioning treatment tonight, so I didn't want to wash it yet)
-I just brushed my teeth (like I am sure all of you do in the
I moisturized with my
kiehl's ultra facial oil free lotion (to be quite honest it isn't one of my favorite ones, but I still want to use it up)
I skipped primer (I only wear primer on days when I am planning on wearing makeup all day)
I went straight to the concealers.
My absolute favorite holy grail concealer is the
MUFE Full Cover. I have had this for about 6 months and use it practically everyday, and I still have about 1/4 of the tube left. A little goes a long way! In my opinion it is very well worth the $$!
I used my
Clarins Ever Matte Foundation (I thought I would try this one sine I LOVE my MUFE Matte Velvet +. But this one is not matte at all! It is, however a very nice light coverage foundation) I just use a pea size amount for my entire face since I already covered my hyperpigmentation with the concealer. This just helps even out my skin tone.
I used my
Sigma F84 Brush. If you have not tried a flat top kabuki brush to apply your foundation, you are missing out. I suggest you try the F80 or F84.
(this product is alright, It sets my makeup with out leaving me looking cakey, but I am not sure if I would purchase it again)
I really like this pallet, it is kind of like a bronzer and blush in one.
So I can get away without having to wear blush.
When you have barely there, light, thin eyebrows like mine, you need to define them. It just completes your face. I just picked up this
NYX eyebrow pallet at ulta recently and have been really liking it!
Now it is time for my favorite part of makeup, the eyes! I used the
NAKED 2 (which my lovely sisters got for my birthday, thank you again my loves :) )
I used the colors: bootycall, tease, snakebite and suspect.
I am no makeup artist, but if you guys want, I can show you guys how I do eye makeup on my hooded eyes...
Can't forget the lips. I LOVE using the the
REVLON lip stains, I can honestly say that the lip stain lasts me until lunch time. I use the favorite lipgloss by
clarins on top of that.
Now its time for the hair. When I am in a rush I just plop a hat on. (I love my fedora hats, I look put together, but little do people know I have a rats nest underneath... he he he)
But, since the kids were still sleeping I decided to take the time to do my hair.
I straightened my hair the day before, so I didn't need to do now.
Since it is my 3rd day hair, I used my all time favorite
dry shampoo (and under $5 at walmart)
After some dry shampoo, a little teasing and some
hairspray, my hair looked a little bit more presentable. :)
All done!! Now I feel confident and ready to tackle whatever the day may bring!!
It actually was cold today! I am so happy for fall :)
I wore what my hubby calls "my fisherman vest" :P
I wore comfy socks with my booties and a large purse which doubled as my diaper bag.
Vest,
blouse: OLD NAVY, Jeans: Nordstrom (old)
Booties:
Kohls (on sale now!), Bag: Micheal Kors
I hope you enjoyed this post. :)
I tag all you readers to do a "Get ready with me post." I would love to see them all!!
If you have any questions, let me know :D
