Empties Reviews

My empties box has been full for quite some time now, I have actually been throwing out the duplicate things we have have used.  I decided to finally do this this week because we are starting home school next week and I am trying to organize and clean a few last minute things.

So lets get started.

Did I like it: YES. Strong hold, doesn't leave hair sticky, I can brush it at the end of the day and the hairspray is gone. Both me and my hubby use it and love it.
Will I repurchase? Yes, already repurchased.

Did I like it: I bought this on Birchbox after loving the sample. I really love the smell and how it helps smooth my hair out before I blow dry.
Will I repurchase? Yes, already repurchased.

Did I like it: My hair is very thin and fine and I am always trying to find something to help thicken it when I style it. I was excited to try this, however I did not like it. In fact I barely noticed a difference. It gave me a slight "dirty" texture, but that is all.
Will I repurchase? No

Did I like it: Yes! At first I used this after I dried my hair when I styled it to whisp away any frizzes. Then one day, my ends felt very dry and damaged. I took a handful of this oil and rubbed it into my ends and left it in my hair for about 4 hours. After I washed my hair, and my hair felt amazing. It was completely healed. I now have smooth hair that does not feel or look dry or damaged. Now I occasionally apply to ends before I blow dry. Something everyone should have on hand.
Will I repurchase? Yes, I bought a larger size this time.

Home School Room 2014-2015

Welcome to our homeschool room!

Our house has a extra "bonus" room, which is supposed to be the office, hence the laminate floors and no closet. It isn't very big, but I do love the big window in here. There is so much light during the day.

It is probably the most cluttered room in the house, which will probably get more and more cluttered with every school year as we accumulate more and more books.
However, it is also a very fun and colorful space, we spend so much time here during the school days.

My husband owns/runs his own business, so this room also stores his business stuff.
Lots of paper work left lying around. Always. That I need to file. Do you sense my mood here, lol.

Anyways, back to my homeschool room.

Most of the posters and the calendar are from Amazon, the Ten commandments one and the prayer are from The Learning Palace.

Hope you enjoy the tour, let me know if you have any questions.

Curriculum Choices 2014-2015

Although we have been working on our  BIG 1st Grade book during the summer, we have been enjoying our summer to the max! However, summer is coming to an end and we are officially starting school in two weeks!

So I am joining the "Not" Back to School Blog Hop and posting my curriculum choices for this school year. This is only my 2nd year "officially" Homeschooling, before that I had a 4 year old I worked on some pre-K books with.

This year I will have a 1st grader and a Pre-K student.

See last years curriculum choices here.

With my previous curriculum choice, I felt like I was adding a lot of addition things, So I really wanted to find a more "complete" curriculum this year, After months of searching, researching and reading reviews,  I think I decided on Sonlight.
I mean look at all of this!

County Fair 2014

When I think about the county fair, I remember my child hood.

I was visiting my grandma, uncle and aunts for the summer in Missouri when I was 13, we went to the fair in the evening, I loved the lights, rides, fair food and the demolition derby. I remember being sticky, tired and eating to much cotton candy and caramel apples. But that is part of the fun, right?

Now we are creating new memories.
Memories for our children.

Wedding Weekend

I love weddings! They are so romantic and everyone is so happy.
I can not help but smile at the love between the groom and bride. This weekend we attended my cousin's (groom) wedding, and it was so beautiful.

It was our first wedding with all three kids and it was quite a challenge. Little William is currently going through a nap strike and three of his top teeth are cutting through. So yes, it was a bit challenging. However, we made the best of the situation, because we really wanted to be there.

Here are a few pictures I managed to take on the wedding day.

Isn't the decor beautiful?
I love all the hydrangeas everywhere, it is one of my favorite flowers.

Thanks for visiting,

Dining Room Updates (New Table)

After getting new counter tops in our kitchen, I started thinking of getting a new table.
I brought it up to my hubby and he kinda brushed it off, since I had no valid reason to sell it. "I am tired of it" and " I need a change" are not really valid points in our household. But we decided if I can sell it on craigslist, then I can get a new table. Well I listed the table, got a few low ball offers so I kinda gave up. Then one day I listed some side tables for sale and hit the renew button for the table, a few hours later, I sold the table for the asking price! I guess it was just the right time.

My hubby was so amazing and helpful. He helped the buyer take the table and chairs apart and went to IKEA to pick up the table I wanted with my little wad of cash I have been collecting and from the table we sold.

And this is the result, TA DA!!

I really love how bright it is! What do you think?
