37 weeks pregnancy update

Oh my Gosh!! That is one huge belly!
Every where I go, people are asking me when I am due. I don't blame them, It looks like I have a basketball in there, doesn't it?

How far along:

37 weeks and 5 days!

Our little boy will be here in 2 weeks!(give or take a bit.)
I am honestly so excited. I can not believe we are so close to meeting this little guy.

Weight gain:
35 pounds! Yeah, scary. I don't even bother getting on the scale anymore, but the doctor says that I am fine.

Baby Growth:
Baby boy is about 19 inches long and weighs 6 1/2 pounds.

Symptoms:

My pelvis is feeling numb with pain and feels swollen.

For the past 2 weeks, whenever I lay on either of my sides (during the night or for a nap) And when the baby moves his head, I get a shocking, almost electric feeling in my pelvis. I have no idea what this is, I don't remember this with my other two pregnancies.
OB says that the baby might be pressing a nerve.

I have also been having a lot of period like cramps and back ache, down below.

4 Diaper Bag Reviews.

After I posted my Hospital Bag post, I got a request to share my thoughts on my diaper bags. I would love to, since I heavily rely on reviews myself.

After two kids and another on the way, I have gone through a few diaper bags and I kind of know what I want and look for in a diaper bag.

As you can see, all of my diaper bags are very neutral. It doesn't matter if I have a girl or boy, I will not buy a pink or blue diaper bag. It is MY bag, I will be the one carrying it (a lot of times instead of a purse), so it needs to be neutral.

The other thing that is very important, it needs to be comfortable, roomy and easy to clean.

So lets get started in the reviews.

Ju Ju Be

Retails: $140

Amazon has this in the black color, I got this bag at Nordstrom 6 years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter.

I used this diaper bag with my daughter and my son.

It has:
  • Magnetic flap closure.
  • Adjustable shoulder strap.
  • Exterior slip pocket; mesh zip pocket under flap.
  • Interior zip and mesh pockets.
  • Two insulated bottle pockets.
  • Coordinating Memory Foam changing pad and zip pouch.

Lots of pockets and a changing pad.
Am I the only one who finds those changing pads useless? I always keep a receiving blanket to change my baby on, I feel those changing pads are so small.

There are a ton of pockets everywhere.

It is easy to clean the bag, I have even thrown the whole bag into the washer and dried it outside.

I like the fact that it is a messenger, and it is easy to carry with a small baby.  The messenger strap is very soft and does not dig into your shoulder. I love the insulated bottle bottle pockets to keep drinks cold/hot.

DIY Large Chalkboard

I have wanted a large chalkboard for a few months now. I was just to lazy/tired to build one.

It meant going to Home depot, buying supplies, getting the saw out, cutting, nailing, gluing, priming, painting.
That just didn't sound very appealing to me being pregnant and all.

I  considered for a split second to buy one online, But I couldn't find anything for less then $100!

Then one day, I was browsing craigslist, and I found this mirror for $30.

I sent hubby to pick up the mirror and got started the next day.

First thing first, I cleaned the mirror really well and taped off the frame.

Packing the Hospital Bag

I am now 37 weeks and 3 days pregnant. So exciting that we are almost there!

I can not wait to meet this little guy, see what he will look like, dress him in teeny-tiny clothes, cuddle him and rock him. We honestly can not wait.

Both times I went into labor before, my water broke and things just went crazy after that. Intense and crazy.
So this time I packed my bags early.

So lets see what I am packing.

My robe (for laboring in) since those hospital gowns have a nice big slit where everyone can see everything.

My Pjs and slippers.
To wear after I deliver.

My going home outfit consists of: Knit legging/pants, nursing bra, underwear, loose knit tee, long cardigan, flats/socks.
I am also bringing 2 nursing tanks (to wear under PJs), socks

Play Room/Guest Room Update

I "cleaned" and reorganized the playroom/guestroom recently.
I painted some stripes, installed some bookshelves and made room for all the kids new birthday and hanukkah toys.

They have so much toys, all drawers under the bed are full of toys, the shelves in the closet are full and this is after I "purged".

I really need a bigger playroom!

Here is what it looks like now:
