Cheap Kids Alphabet Art

I wanted to create some alphabet art for the kids room.
It cost me $0.00.

I had these alphabet cards which I got from the Target dollar bin about a year ago :

I just used some scrapbook paper and glue and made this:

I would like to get a huge frame or put each individual ones in small white frames, but that isn't in my budget right now. So this will have to do.

Stay tuned for more on the kids room.

Lasagna Cupcakes

I found another recipe that I fell in love with on Pinterest!
Most importantly, my husband loved it as well, so it's a keeper. :)

Ingredients:
2 cups of marinara sauce
1 lb of ground beef
24 wonton wrappers
3 cups of shredded mozzarella
1 cup of shredded Parmesan
4 oz of ricotta

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray muffin tin with cooking spray.

Brown beef and season with salt and pepper.

Cut wonton wrappers into circle shapes using a biscuit cutter (I just used my kitchen cooking scissors)

Start layering your lasagna cupcakes. Begin with a wonton wrapper and press it into the bottom of each muffin tin.

Sprinkle a little Parmesan cheese, Ricotta cheese, and mozzarella cheese.

Top with a little meat and marinara sauce.

Then layer with another wonton wrapper and repeat the layers.

Bake for 18-20 minutes or until edges are brown. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. To remove use a knife to loosen the edges then pop each lasagna out.

Then enjoy!

Another Dress Refashion

I did another refashion for my daughter. We both love how it turned out.

I had these two dresses.
The striped one was from Target (from last winter) and was a 3T (it was way to short)
The purple one was a gift from my Aunt in Germany it was (1-2 years)

With a seam ripper and a sewing machine I turned it into this:

I basically just took the bottom of the purple dress and removed the ruffle from gray dress and reattached it to the dress:

Can't wait to get some more refashioning done!

Mexican Stuffed Shells

We love these stuffed shells! This is a nice twist because it has Mexican spiced as opposed to Italian shells we usually have. Serve with some Spanish rice and corn and you have yourself a delicious meal.
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1 package taco seasoning
8 oz. cream cheese
14-16 jumbo pasta shells
1.5 cup salsa
1 cup taco sauce
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 cup monterey jack cheese
3 green onions
Sour cream

Preheat oven to 350°.
In a frying pan cook ground beef; add taco seasoning and prepare according to package directions. Add cream cheese, cover and simmer until cheese is melted. Blend well. Set aside and cool completely. While ground beef is cooking, cook the pasta shells according to directions; drain. Set shells out individually on cutting board/baking sheet so that they don’t stick together.
Pour salsa on bottom of 9×13 baking dish. Stuff each shell with the meat mixture. Place shells in 9×13 pan open side up. Cover shells with taco sauce. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, add shredded cheese and bake for 10-15 more minutes, with the foil removed. Top with any condiments you’d like (green onions, black olives, etc.) Serve with sour cream and/or more salsa.
ENJOY!

Doll Stroller Refashion

I was browsing pinterest. I saw this pin, So I decided to redo my daughter's baby doll stroller.
Here is the Before (the seat liner was ripped):

And the after:

Now we have a nice stroller which didn't cost us anything. :)
