Work Box Wednesday KINDERGARTEN #3

Welcome to another work box wednesday!

My daughter is  6, and she is in Kindergarten. We use the curriculum from Heart of Dakota (Little hearts for his glory) But I also add a lot of extras.

As usual, we start out our day with calendar time, weather chart, a sticker on my daughter 100 days of school chart and prayers

Her new packet is on top of her work boxes.

I make a new packet for her each week, which she works on her own time.
Then she brings me the packet the following Monday, we go through it together. Then she gets $1.

I was thinking of a way to give my daughter an allowance so she can learn about money management, but I did not want to give her money for chores, which she is expected to do anyways.

This way she can do extra homework/reading that week, learn how to time manage (find the time to do her packet on her own time) and she learns how to manage her money.

She just used her $10 recently for a tinker bell fairy and accessories, and is excited to get another fairy when she saves up more money.

Here is the teacher manual with everything that needs to be done that day.

Work box#1

Right now we are working on memorizing our address and phone number.

Work box#2
We do bible time. We read the bible stories, sing the song from the lesson plan, work on memorizing the memory verse and recite the rhyme.

All of this is part of the lesson plan for little hearts for his glory.

Today we are reading and discussing about the lost sheep

Workbox#3
Craft time/thinking game

She will glue the cotton on the sheep, then I will hide the sheep somewhere, and she will try to find it by me saying baa... when she is near it. That way she can be like a Shepard who is searching for the lost sheep.

This is NOT part of the curriculum, instead it is something I decided to add to her lessons.

Workbox #4
Next is spelling.
Her words for the week are:

with
his
they
at
be
her

She got all of the words correct on her last spelling test correct, so she only has 6 words this week. If she would have gotten some of them wrong, then they would be on this list.

This is the book we use.

This is NOT part of the curriculum, instead it is something I decided to add to her lessons.

Workbox #5:
Next is Handwriting-

This is part of the curriculum lesson plan for that day.

Workbox#6

Next is story time. We are currently reading the Adventures of Danny Meadow Mouse

This is part of the curriculum lesson plan for that day.

Work box #7

Next is math.

She works on page 142-144 of her workbox.
This is part of the curriculum lesson plan for that day.

I am also adding more for her to do.

We are working on matching number words to the numbers right now.
I found these worksheets online and put them into her math journal.

This is NOT part of the curriculum, instead it is something I decided to add to her lessons.

Work box #8

Next is reading. She read 2-4 pages a day.
This is part of the curriculum lesson plan for that day.

We are staring a new chapter today, learning the O sounds.

Workbox #9:

Last but not least, we have starting learning Russian.
I am bilingual, but my daughter needs help learning since we don't speak Russian at home.

This is the program we use, if she sees this in her workbox, that means she gets to sit at the computer and do a lesson.

That wraps up our day.

Thanks so much for visiting,
