The Living Room Updated

There have been some changes in the living room.

It all started with the coffee table.
I was never a fan of the old ottoman coffee table and it was always my intention to reupholster it for get something new.
Well, I finally did something about it. I sold the ottoman, two old lamps, baby bedding set (craigslist) and finally made enough money for the coffee table I have been drooling for months now.

You can see the before living room here

After I got the coffee table, I decided that I needed more color in the room since spring and summer months are coming up. I went to the fabric store and bought some pretty colorful patterns and made a whole bunch of new pillow covers. See my tutorial on how to make super easy pillow covers here

Here is what my living room looks like now.

Its hard to believe that this is how it used to look like:

Paint color is Sterling by Behr
Sofa and love seat are from IKEA
Coffee table world market
Record player: vintage find
Yellow lantern: Z gallery
Wicker chairs: Old (?)
Lamps, green tray: target
Side tables: target
Picture gallery: DIY
Rug: overstock

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you all have a great day!

  53. AMAZING job - and I'm so glad that I saw this room makeover from one of my other blog subscriptions! I'm happy to now subscribe to your blog.

Some great stuff and I love the light colour palette!

Can I ask what kind of stencil or wallpaper is on the wall behind the couch? It looks great and I want something for my family room/living room that will add a touch of dimension, yet still be understated.

    Great job!
